Bears of all shapes and sizes (and their owners) will be delighted to hear that the Teddy Bear’s Picnic is back on the Glossop line for 2026!
On Saturday 20 June from 10.45am until 2pm, a whole host of fun activities for all the family will be taking place at Glossop, Hadfield and Guide Bridge stations.
During these hours, families (with a teddy) can travel free on the trains between the stations, courtesy of Northern. There will be a ‘hunt the bear’ competition and the chance to win prizes!
This is a great way for little people to experience train travel and explore their local stations, while having a lot of fun with ‘ted’ along the way!
Keep an eye on Friends of Glossop Station website for more details, check out the poster (TeddyBearsPicnic) and make sure your teddy is looking his best for the big day. This super event is organised by the Friends Groups for Glossop, Hadfield and Guide Bridge stations, and generously supported by Northern.
