Flowery Field railway station is a small, unstaffed station. It is a stop on the Glossop Line and serves this residential area of Hyde, 6 miles from Manchester Piccadilly.
The area was once dominated by Ashton Brother’s Textile Mill. A point of interest is Flowery Field church, a Tudor-Gothic style building completed in 1878 and paid for by Thomas Ashton who owned the cotton mill across the road.
The high street has a few shops and restaurants, while a short walk away is Hyde Park, with its large expanse of green, walks and sports areas for all the family.
